From friends who never pay, to people getting welfare checks or other government cheese, freeloaders bother me. Dude, you’re getting your fill from Costco samples? Girl, that’s your 3rd time getting a piece of mango! The sample yogurt cups are for customers, not so you could get a free dessert.
But all the while I’m judging that innocent cheapo, the hypocrisy is that I’m shopping at Costco, a place where cheapo’s shop. and unknown to many of them, I’m the biggest freeloader of all; I’m a Christian.
I didn’t have to work for my salvation – no dues, no mantras, no checklist. God’s presence is all around me, my sins are forgiven, and my prayers get answered. And I didn’t pay a cent for admission. And when I die, I go straight to heaven. No admission test, no interview, no “making the cut.” And no ID check, since I’m personally known. I get to see genuine miracles, I get a personal life coach, and the retirement benefits are out of this world! I know this is all worth more than money can buy, but it’s all paid for; I get it for free.
I’m a freeloader. I just had to trade in my life for his – a bargain if I ever saw one. And I keep going back for more.
Would you like a sample?
It’s for free.
