This is the love.

It’s not a love one has for a celebrity.
It’s not a love one has for a wife.
It’s not a love one has for ice cream.
It’s not a love one has for one’s life.
It’s not a love one has for a brother.
It’s not a love one has for a friend.
 
It’s different.
 
God wanted to show how deep is his love.
So he invented babies.

babies that dung through wet diapers.
babies that throw up on your favorite shoe.
babies that won’t let you sleep.
babies that won’t go to sleep without you.
babies that are selfish and immature.
babies that don’t listen and rebel.
babies that make you so frustrated
you just want to give up and send them to hell.
But you don’t.

Because your love goes deeper than all those combined.
nothing else like it in this world can you find
and then I realize that he’s just like me
when Jesus sees me, he sees a baby
And he loves me.

If I want to know what love he has a lot of,
He points to a father and says, “This is the love”
